Who we are

Prasavik B.V. is the controller for the personal data described here, and operates this website at www.prasavik.com. Our registered address, Chamber of Commerce number and VAT number are in the footer of every page.

What this site collects

This website uses Google Analytics to measure how its pages are used, so that we can see which of them are read and where visitors arrive from, but only if you agree to it first. Accept, and it records the pages you view, the approximate location that Google derives from your IP address, and the device and browser your request reports. We have not enabled Google's advertising features, so nothing here is used to build advertising audiences or to follow you across other sites. Decline, and none of that happens: no cookie is written, and your browser never contacts Google at all. No account is needed to read any page here.

Beyond that, the only personal data reaching us from this site is what you choose to send: the name, email address, optional company name and message you enter in the contact form, or the contents of an email you write to us directly.

Cookies

The first time you arrive, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Accepting and declining are one click each, and nothing is measured until you choose. Only if you accept does the Google Analytics script load and set its two cookies, _ga and _ga_QFMCX3QRKG, which hold a randomly generated number that lets it tell a repeat visit from a new one and expire after two years.

Your answer is remembered in your browser's local storage so that you are not asked on every page. That entry is the only thing this site stores if you decline, it holds nothing but your choice and the date you made it, and it is exempt from the consent rule because it exists to record that very choice.

You can change your mind whenever you like: the Cookies link in the footer of every page reopens the banner, and declining there stops any further measurement. You can also block or delete the cookies in your browser settings without affecting any part of this site, and Google publishes a browser add-on that turns Google Analytics off everywhere.

How the contact form works

The contact form is delivered through Formspree, a third-party form service, which forwards submissions to our mailbox and keeps a copy in its own system under its own privacy policy. If the form service is unavailable, the form falls back to opening your own email client, in which case nothing passes through a third party at all.

Third-party resources

Every file needed to display this site, including the fonts, is served from prasavik.com. Reading a page here creates no request to another company unless you ask for one: the Google Analytics script is fetched only after you accept the banner, and the contact form is submitted only if you send it.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like any web server, it records requests: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser and operating system your request reports. We use those records to keep the site running and to investigate faults and abuse. They are not combined with anything else and are not used to build a profile of you.

Google acts as our processor for this, under its own terms and security measures.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Our hosting, analytics and contact form providers are part of groups established outside the EEA, and may process data there. Where that happens the transfer relies on the safeguards required by Chapter V of the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or a decision that the receiving country offers an adequate level of protection.

Why we process it and for how long

We use what you send to answer your enquiry and, where it leads to a commercial conversation, to keep a record of that correspondence. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in running our business, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Where your enquiry is a step towards a contract, the basis is Article 6(1)(b). Server logs rest on the same legitimate interest, in keeping the site available and secure.

Analytics is different: it rests on your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, which is why the banner asks before anything is set. You can withdraw that consent at any time through the Cookies link in the footer, as easily as you gave it, and withdrawing does not affect what was collected beforehand.

Giving us your details is voluntary. You do not have to use the form, and you can email us directly instead.

Enquiries are kept while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. Ask us to delete an enquiry and we will, unless we are required to keep it. Analytics records are deleted by Google at the end of the retention period set on our property.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. It is handled by the service providers we use to run our hosting, analytics, mail and form delivery, and disclosed further only where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, and to send it to you or another provider in a structured, machine readable format. You can also object to processing we carry out on the basis of our legitimate interests.

Write to support@prasavik.com and we will answer within one month. There is no charge. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to a supervisory authority. Ours is the Dutch authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, and you may also complain to the authority where you live or work.

Automated decisions and profiling

We do not make decisions about you by automated means. The analytics described above produce aggregate reports about how the site is used, and we do not use them to make decisions about individual visitors.

Data protection officer

We are not required to appoint a data protection officer and have not appointed one. Questions about this page go to support@prasavik.com.

This page covers this website only. Our products, including Viyancast, are covered by their own agreements and privacy terms, which apply to the data customers process through them.

Changes

If this page changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting people who have already contacted us will be communicated directly.
